This course provides a framework for understanding the links between policies, budgets and development outcomes. The course introduces participants to a full range of issues associated with public expenditure: economic policy, expenditure analysis, management and institutions. Participants will be introduced to concepts in each of these areas and provided with practical tools for use in public expenditure reviews.
Course objectives
- Introduce participants to a full range of issues associated with public expenditure
- Helps participants examine and are able to deal with various obstacles to effective public expenditure management
- Provide a full range of tools that are used to analyze public expenditure
- Expose participants to issues that are pertinent to their countries and help them to use available approaches to solve them
